Walking across Cambridge in prayer and fellowship for the World Day of Prayer for Care of Creation on Saturday 2 September.
(See below for various start times 10:15am – 3:30pm).
With the themes in Pope Francis’ ground-breaking encyclical Laudato Si’ very much in mind, join us for a walk through some of the parts of our city that highlight the issues the Holy Father has written about, where we will pray and reflect: quiet, green spaces and a few quite the contrary.
Our walk takes us between the three Catholic parish churches in Cambridge, pausing several times on our journey to listen to short extracts from the encyclical, reflecting and praying for our common home, the Earth.
Join us for the whole day or just for the first or second part of our walk.
Families are welcome! Our schedule gives time to walk with children, and pause for reflection.
